About the Department

The Information Technology (IT) department of the Dillon County Administrative Office provides a variety of professional 
information technology (IT) services to all County departments. The department's mission is to provide cost-effective, efficient 
and coordinated data processing and communications services for all County departments, with a major emphasis on those 
departments that have direct interaction with the public.

8:30 am-5:00 pm (Monday-Friday)

Primary IT Services Provided

  • Providing 24-hour-a-day, 7-days-a-week computer operations and systems support 
  • Coordinates and performs the planning and implementation for systems maintenance activities.
  • Provides advice and direction to the agency on purchases of hardware and software
  • Provides technical advice to management concerning system capacities and operational environment
  • Designs hardware and software configurations; installs hardware and software
  • Coordinates operation of systems; monitors system storage; maintains all system documentation; monitors all system maintenance; maintains records of equipment and replacement plan
  • Serves as user contact for problems with system operations; follows through with solutions to problems
  • Meets with vendors to discuss and evaluates software and hardware
